This policy explains how we collect and process your personal data when you visit our website or book our services.
2. Categories of data we process
- Identification and contact details (e.g. name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number).
- Booking details (e.g. date, pickup and drop-off, service type).
- Billing data (only when invoicing is required).
- Communications exchanged with us (e.g. emails, WhatsApp messages, form submissions).

3. Purposes, lawful bases and retention
We process data for the following purposes:
3.1 Booking management and customer support
- What for: creating and managing bookings, answering enquiries, and operational updates such as confirmations, changes and delays.
- Lawful basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6.1(b) GDPR).
- Retention: for the duration of the relationship and the applicable legal limitation periods.
3.2 Invoicing and compliance
- What for: billing, accounting, tax obligations and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
- Lawful basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1(c) GDPR).
- Retention: as required by tax and commercial law.
3.3 General enquiries
- What for: responding to contact requests not linked to a booking.
- Lawful basis: consent (Art. 6.1(a)) or legitimate interest in responding (Art. 6.1(f)).
- Retention: until the enquiry is resolved, and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle follow-ups.
3.4 Marketing communications (email and WhatsApp)
- What for: sending information about our services, offers, discounts, news and surveys by email and WhatsApp, and by similar electronic means.
- Lawful basis: your consent (Art. 6.1(a) GDPR; Art. 21 LSSI and e-Privacy). Where permitted by law, we may also contact existing customers about similar services (“soft opt-in”). You can opt out in every message.
- How to withdraw or opt out: click unsubscribe in our emails, reply STOP on WhatsApp, or email info@electrictaximadrid.com. Opting out of marketing does not affect operational messages about your booking.
- Segmentation and profiling: we may apply basic segmentation, for example by service type or customer status, to keep messages relevant. We do not make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
- Retention: until you withdraw consent or object. We may keep a minimal suppression record in order to honour your choice.
3.5 Website analytics
- What for: understanding site usage and improving our content.
- Lawful basis: consent (Art. 6.1(a)).

4. Recipients and processors
We share data only when necessary:
- Service providers acting under our instructions, for example the booking platform Zoho Bookings, hosting, IT, and email or WhatsApp delivery providers. We sign data-processing agreements with them (Art. 28 GDPR).
- Public authorities, when there is a legal obligation to do so.
We do not sell your data.

If a provider is located outside the EEA, we will ensure appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, additional measures consistent with Chapter V GDPR.

- Directly from you when you contact us, make a booking, or interact with us by email or WhatsApp.
- Automatically from your device when you browse our website (see our Cookies Policy).
7. Your rights
You may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw your consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
How to exercise your rights: email info@electrictaximadrid.com with the subject “GDPR – Rights request” and attach proof of identity. We will respond within the statutory timeframes.
8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, loss or disclosure, consistent with the GDPR and Spanish data-protection law.
9. Minors
Our services are not specifically directed to children. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor without proper authorisation, we will delete it.
